Why you can’t train everyone for the top

As founder of 24around, I often get asked, ‘What really makes someone fit for the high-end segment?’ The honest answer? Not everything can be trained. Some things you just have to sense.

In a job interview, a candidate once said, ‘I am good at my job, but I am especially good at feeling.’
That phrase has stuck with me.

Because in the high-end staffing segment, touch is perhaps the most underrated talent. You can teach people everything: systems, etiquette, processes. But what you can’t train is intuition. And that is precisely what makes the difference between ‘fine’ and ‘phenomenal’ in this profession.

Being present, without standing out

There is something elusive about the perfect personal assistant, nanny, butler or private chef. They are there when they are needed, and invisible when they should be. They speak without words, anticipate without instructions. Not because they have read a manual, but because they feel it.

No standard vacancy, no standard match

In our profession, we don’t place people, we connect worlds. We look at energy, values, rhythm of life. Does someone fit into a family where everything is about rest? Or with an entrepreneur where every day is different? Looking deeper than CVs and diplomas is not a luxury, it is a necessity.

Experience counts, but character determines

Of course, experience is important. But character, composure, discretion, a proactive attitude makes someone indispensable. The best professionals in this sector are often those who do not need to be at the forefront themselves. They consciously choose the role behind the scenes because that is where their strength lies.

In an age where everything has to be measurable, scalable and fast, we opt for something different. For craftsmanship, intuition, human connection and for people who feel what is needed even before you know it yourself.

Are you such a person? Or are you looking for someone who can bring exactly that?
